Colonial Motel - Twizel

The room was big and clean, but I heard every step from next door.

Every time we stay in Twizel, like to stay here. Handy location just off town centre and restaurants, delicious Indian restaurant and bars, it's central. Plus, the hotel is located a 10-15 minute walking distance from Kaki Visitor Hide.

The hotel was placed in the central location near to centre of Twizel. The staff was excellent and the host too. I had comfortable experience and would love to go back;)))

Our studio room had everything we needed, including a well-equipped kitchenette. Reception closed too early in the evening, limiting assistance.

I booked a room with an extremely comfy bed, climate control, a flat-screen TV and a microwave oven.

We loved the hotel, it was nice and had easy location very close to the main shopping area with plenty of bars cafes and restaurants, local shops, and market and halal indian restaurant.

The upstairs apartment was spacious, with effective heating and a cozy ambiance, but the bathroom cleanliness left much to be desired, highlighting the need for better attention to detail.

Unresponsive staff and a shower that flooded everywhere left me exasperated, and i almost gave it a good review! Then, i didn't even get a welcome gift. Absolutely terrible, and don't even get me started on the cleanliness. Such a shame!

Absolutely loved the grilled fish at Shawtys Cafe-totally fresh and cooked to perfection! The room was spacious, with a heated blanket that was just the ticket for a chilly night. Plus, the staff were super accommodating when we arrived late.

The beds were quite hard, and honestly, $280 felt a tad steep. Just saying, we've snagged some equally great digs for around $230 lately.

Really good clean room with a modern decor. The heater was on when I arrived. Plenty of natural light filled the room. Kitchenette was well-equipped, and the electric blankets added a nice touch for warmth. There was a slight issue with the towels. They had an unpleasant odor, suggesting they might not have been washed properly. While I enjoyed the close proximity to nearby restaurants, accessing the upstairs apartment could be tricky for those with mobility challenges due to the narrow staircase. Great value for money and a pleasant stay!

Well equipped kitchenette and friendly staff! The location was perfect for accessing nearby shops and exploring the beautiful landscapes around. Plus, the laundry facilities were a bonus .

Soundproofing between floors could use improvement. We heard our neighbors quite a bit.

Great Wi-Fi and spacious bathroom, but the pull-out sofa bed was uncomfortable.

We spent two nights here, and wow! Our lodge was super cozy, with a nice separate bedroom and a lounge/kitchen area that had everything we needed. The staff were friendly and gave us great tips on nearby places to eat. Just a heads up, the Wi-Fi dropped a few times. Otherwise, a fab stay!

The location is fantastic for families, just a short walk to the town center. The kitchen facilities made meal prep for our little one hassle-free, and having a spacious area was a lifesaver with our big family. We all enjoyed our stay!

My kids wished for better Wi-Fi to keep them entertained during downtime. The beds were quite hard, made for an uncomfortable night.
